Old Poet/Writer…whose paths are ever marked by inked laments and celebrations. Like Job, I have known desperate despairing darkness upon my paths; like the Psalmist, I’ve found fullness of joy on the path of life; and like Isaiah, I trust that God will always make a path for me in the wilderness. He has proved Himself faithful throughout my 65 years…even when I didn’t know enough to acknowledge His Sovereignty. Though my eyes grow dim, His Word is indeed my “lamp” and “light”.
Words have always fascinated me. Bartlett’s Quotations has a treasured place in my home library, along with a collection of Bibles and widely diverse book titles. Reading was my escape when I was young, and remains a refuge of solace as well as a magic carpet ride to adventure in the waning years. I tumbled down the rabbit hole wonderland with Alice when I was about ten, and I’m still exploring literature’s labyrinths.
By my teen years I discovered I could write, too, which unlocked a vast world of open windows. If ‘imagination’ might seem a “small god” (to narrow minds), it is much more one of the greater gifts seeded in me by Almighty GOD who loves to create.
Having had a zillion blogs, I am loyal and true to WordPress. I’ve met scores of interesting people, some have become my beloved substitute family. Where there’s life, there’s blogging—and where there’s blogging, you can always find a word of inspiration and encouragement…and a laugh or two.
Thus, you’ll likely find variety in the posts at Ink Paths, depending on my mood or recent revelation. (I try not to preach, but you know how old folks get…we have wisdom born of experience, and feel obliged to share it in hopes of sparing some youngster a broken heart 🙂)
Please be advised: I no longer accept Blog Awards, due to time and energy limitations—and sadly, I don’t get around to visiting blogs as often as I used to in previous years. But I’ll do my best, and if you can accept those conditions you’re most welcome to visit…and leave comments, if you wish.
My Copyright notice is on the front page. I make effort to properly credit quotations I use, including Bible verses; and also for images—usually Pixabay.com or Wikimedia.org. I’m pretty sure my header image/gravatar is from Morguefile.com…but if I’m mistaken, please advise me of this or any other error needing correction. Thank you in advance.
It’s a new year, fresh blog—God’s blessing on everyone♥
